Our LA Spirits Awards 2023 Platinum winning Recipe 01: Basil and Elderflower gin has been finished in a Navy Strength rum barrel for 7 months. The barrel added some color, but also brought forth notes of light caramel, dried stone fruit, honey, and baking spices. You can still enjoy the original notes of recipe 01, with delicate pops of basil, cucumber, and bright citrus.
This unique barrel finished gin is extremely versatile and can be used in many different applications – martini, old fashion, or a dram or two neat or over ice. Whatever you decide, you are sure to enjoy it.

“Sociable” by Michael Sioxson
5 muddled blackberries
1.5 oz – 02
.5 oz – simple syrup
.5 oz – crème de violet
2 dashes of black walnut bitters
Light shake with ice. Dump out entire shaker into glass
Splash of tonic
Garnish with Sage and Thyme
As you sip from the glass the smell of sage and thyme helps to bring out the fruit notes on the palate. The simple syrup and crème de violet soften the gin and the bitters round it out. The blackberries can be exchanged with just about any other berry or fruit.
