The Color Purple Cocktail

We don’t know about you, but after the long slow days of January, February flew by in a blur of events, cocktails, and new product development (stay tuned!). 

Hands down, the highlight of our February was collaborating with “Chopped” alum Chef Kyndra McCrary for her famous Underground Supper Club in LA. In addition to a mouthwatering 6-course tasting menu, live music, and good company, Chef Kyndra created a Common Ground Spirits cocktail for Black History Month called “The Color Purple,” and we snagged the recipe for you!

The Color Purple Cocktail

This sumptuous, fruity cocktail from Chef Kyndra McCrary is easy to throw together on a weeknight but really shines when you want to impress your guests at cocktail hour. Whatever the occasion, we know you’re going to love it.

Recipe Notes

• We recommend using Common Ground Spirits Gin Recipe 02 with black currant and thyme, but we encourage you to experiment!
• We use plum jam when we mix this up at home, but blueberry or blackberry jam will work well too—just be sure to strain the cocktail into your glass so those berry seeds don’t get in your drink.
• Blue Machine is a smoothie made by Naked, and you should be able to find it refrigerated in your local grocery store.
