Common Ground Spirits Salty Dog
Ingredients
Serves 1
½ fresh lemon
1 ½ oz Common Ground Spirits Gin Recipe 03
2 oz fresh grapefruit juice (yes, you can use bottled juice, but it’s worth a little squeezing for that fresh grapefruit taste)
1 small pinch of Kosher salt, plus a 3 tablespoons for rimming the glass
1 sprig rosemary
Fill a tumbler or old fashion glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the glass. Garnish with the sprig of rosemary and seve.
Place 3 tablespoons of salt on a small plate.
Rub the halved lemon around the rim of the cocktail glass to coat it in lemon juice, then press the wet rim of the glass into the dish of salt, moving the rim along until the entire rim has a nice coating of salt crystals.
Fill a shaker with ice, then add the gin, grapefruit juice, and small pinch of salt and shake until very cold..
