NEW RELEASES
Gin Recipe 03 Blood Orange & Tarragon is the newest addition to Common Ground Spirits’s core line of gins. Notes of subtle citrus are bolstered by delicate pops of pink peppercorn, creamy apple, and enveloped in the gentle anise flavors of tarragon and fennel. Like all of Common Ground Spirits’s releases, Gin Recipe 03 is incredibly versatile, lending itself beautifully to a negroni, but just as delicious sipped neat or over ice.
Janéa Barrel Finished Release 02 is the second barrel-finished gin from Common Ground Spirits and features Gin Recipe 03 Blood Orange and Tarragon, which has been finished for ten months in bourbon barrels from Home Base Spirits. Hints of oak, honey, toffee, and vanilla gently round out the citrus and anise notes, making Janéa Barrel Finished Release 02 the perfect spirit for sipping, Old Fashions, Manhattans, or your favorite gin cocktail.

Blood Orange & Tarragon Martini
Our new Gin Recipe 03 with blood orange and tarragon is incredibly versatile and we’re dreaming up all kinds of cocktail creations to share with you, but for our first official cocktail using this aromatic powerhouse, we wanted to keep it real simple so the notes in the gin get their moment in the spotlight. This recipe is for a classic, ice-cold, dry martini, with just a twist of orange peel over the surface of the drink to accent the already-vibrant hints of citrus in the gin. It’s a perfect appetite-whetter before a celebratory gathering, and we hope you’ll mix up a few for yourself and your loved ones.
Cheers!
Ingredients
2 oz Common Ground Spirits Gin Recipe 03 Blood Orange & Tarragon
⅛ oz dry vermouth
Orange peel twist for garnish
Strain gin into martini glass, twist a slice of orange peel over the surface of the glass, use the peel for garnish if you wish, and serve!
Pour the vermouth into the martini glass, swirl it around, then pour out any remaining vermouth (if you’re making more than one martini, you can pour the remaining into the next glass and repeat the process!).
Fill a large shaker with ice, then add the gin and shake vigorously until very cold.
